In Schools

Schools have a mission to teach academic subjects. Too often, however, instruction is disrupted by children who, for a variety of personal and family reasons, are not able to concentrate on their academic work. This, in turn, impacts their relationship with other children and the adult team at the school.

Considering the number of children per class, teachers are therefore not able to both teach academic subjects and at the same time offer the social support that children need in order to learn to the best of their ability.

We know that a happy child is a child who can learn more easily, which means the opposite is also true: an unhappy child has neither the head nor the heart to study.

Objectives

The consequences of these challenges include teachers who are overwhelmed by extra-curricular problems, school principals who must deal with often delicate situations with parents and, finally, children who find themselves left behind—often with a wounded self-esteem.

We believe in the importance of helping schools equip parents so that children can live in an environment that encourages their growth and development and academic success.

The 360 Degrees Academy offers two main focus areas for schools:

In Daycares

Giving young parents the chance to become trained in positive parenting and communication while their child is still young enables them to get off to a good start in their life as parents. They won’t need to change their way of parenting since, right from the start, they’ll learn to use effective tools to communicate and develop a healthy, positive relationship with their child.
Numerous studies have shown that the younger children are when they are exposed to positive parenting, the greater their chances of leading successful lives.

Objectives

One of the effects of compassion in young children is that they come to know themselves through their emotions.

A young child who is capable of feeling and understanding their emotions will be more able to auto-regulate, to control themselves and to develop empathy and respect for themselves and for their peers.

The 360 Degrees Academy offers various focus areas for schools and daycares, according to the specific target group. 

Children

Social skills workshops with children together with the educator in a larger group or in a targeted fashion. See the services and packages available in the Kids Academy.

Parents

Interventions with parents in seminars and workshops on parental skills, all aimed at providing them with concrete tools to help them establish a climate of peace and compassion in their home, which will have a positive repercussion on the daycare or school.

Educators

Events with educators in day-cares, including seminars and positive communication seminars, aim to sensitize these professionals about the benefits of positive communication on children and to provide them with the tools they need to truly benefit from it.

Seminars

Seminars for parents on the impact of positive parenting on children (multiple topics are already available or can be developed to fit the needs of the specific school or daycare).

Our seminars can be adapted to meet your needs.

Available topics

Here are the various topics we have to offer regarding positive parenting:

  • What is positive parenting and how does it impact children?
  • Why do we have to keep repeating ourselves?
  • Why is there rivalry between my children?
  • Why doesn’t punishment work?
  • Why is my child so anxious?
  • Why doesn’t my child have confidence in themselves?

We also develop other seminars related to positive parenting and communication upon request. Just ask us!

Length

According to your needs, we can provide seminars lasting either 1 or 2 hours. In general, we begin with the more theoretical portion and end with a Q&A session. We can also add a section with tools. Talk with us so we can guide you in making your choice.

Workshops

Through these group workshops on positive parenting, we support parents in enabling them to guide their children towards autonomy, respect and the development of self-esteem, all while instilling in them the values of the school or daycare they attend. Thanks to these positive communication tools, the programme transforms the vision of what it means to be a parent. Parents gradually become positive guides who encourage their children to collaborate, grow and develop.

Our default offer includes the impact of positive communication on children, as we believe this is directly linked to the reality lived by educators every day.

Length

We offer two options:

  • A 1-hour version including a theoretical section and a Q&A section.
  • A 2-hour version including a theoretical section, a Q&A section and a section about tools.
